Hi Everyone,

I don't post a ton, but am here every day reading, commiserating, thankful for this community and all of you!

I had my first go on SR a year and a half ago (diff name). I spent that next year sufficiently lubed up, daily. Alone with zero family and few friends...my couch, my dogs, my booze.

I'm so thrilled to end the worst year of my life where I suffered consequences from my drinking that I still can't believe I went through, survived, and overcame.

I spent my night with two friends, their 5 kids, and our dogs and feel more alive and fulfilled than I've felt in over a year...oh, and months of sobriety to add to it, including tonight!

Just want to say thank you to all of you...for sharing the good, bad, and ugly...

And to give hope to those who feel like they've lost everything and there's no going back. I lost everything and was about 3 inches away from losing my life...but it WILL get easier. It takes TIME, and yes most certainly sucks along the way...but don't give up friends. We are worth it!
