I've gotta stop!

Hey everyone,
I've been to AA before and it has definitely helped. However, I always seem to forget what catastrophe I make of my life after a few months of drinking. This run has by far been the worst! So I'm not going to drink today! I don't know what else to do. Peace.

Jp - you've decided correctly! Fight it and stay strong. We know that nothing is better when you drink. SR is awesome for support with folks that understand! You are not alone

I always forgot the havoc alcohol wreaked on my life after a bit of sobriety, too. Always went back to it and who knew when the binge would end.
AA is a great idea. So is not drinking if you don't know what else to do.
Try and remember what misery taking a drink will do. And the ramifications afterward. You can do it!
Welcome and I hope you feel free to post as often as you like. We're all in this together.

Wishing you the best.

Make the plan, follow the plan, never act on the brilliant idea that only one will be ok. That sums up my recipe.

Welcome to SR! There is great support here for people that have been there.

I know just how you feel jpwm. I used to do that over & over. When I joined SR it helped me find the courage to change my life & stop the cycle.

It's great to have you here with us. You're among people who really understand. Keep posting.
