Unhappy A potentially odd request

Got outta detox on on the 24th, which makes it about 12 days sober for me, for reference. I just watched 3 overwhelmingly sad youtube vids. The 1st was a dog not leaving his friends body, and the second a very similar one with a cat and his/her friend. The third one was an illustrated short story about two dogs, I believe it's called the Plague Dogs. They were all gut wrenching. Let's just say I wasn't entirely sure there wasn't someone dicing up an onion near by . The thing is I've actually been looking for sad movies because I want to have a good cry -- which is not normal for me, but I understand that it can, and likely will be healthy.

So my request is if anyone can suggest any tear jerker vids on you tube? Basically looking for catharsis.

I'm a bit of a mess today, in no small part because I've been up over 24 hours now. I'm not worried or anything, I actually have no desire to drink at all, and Ihey Sugar have meeting with a counselor tomorrow morning at a local IOP, bu for full disclosure I have been taking a few many OTC drugs, along with my prescribed meds. I've just been looking for a reason to cry -- and also just wanted to reach out, get some of this off my chest.

Apologies if I'm rambling, but basically hoping someone might help me out in getting my cry on , whether it be an online video or maybe a movie I can rent on Amazon.

I'm refraining posting links at this time to any of the three vids I had just watched - but if your in the mood for something sad, I will.

OK I will stop rambling incoherently now

Thanks, but I'll be watching the Cowboys v. Eagles tonight. That will be sad enough for me.

How about one of those commercials with Sara Mclaughlin and the animals? That sad music always and forever makes me feel horrible.

Oh geez. I hate those commercials. I can't watch them anymore. They just rip my heart out. Both of my dogs are rescues and if I could, I'd save them all, but I can't.

I can't get past the ending of either Gladiator or Schindler's List without filling up, though they're both very long films to watch just to get to the ending!!

I'm actually listening to the more somber tracks in my music collection at the moment. I'm definitely going to look into finding that on youtube for a listen soon.

I haven't watched either of those in a long time. Definitely two good movies though.

Just remembered one I got that always gets me: Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World. Which oddly I believe was on the City Slicker's sound track.

It sounds like you like dogs. Go to beaglefreedomproject.org. Watch the videos. I am a huge supporter of the mission. They are doing extraordinary work.

A bit more of a cat person, but I'll play both sides of the isle. I actually have an orientation meeting the locale Humane Society to morning.

I've got plenty. First two are foreign films. Hachi: A Dog's Tale, and My Life As A Dog.

I don't know if this does it for a guy the way it breaks me down, but here's one to try -- from the movie Dumbo when Dumbo goes to visit his mom in "jail" and "Baby Mine" plays:

Baby Mine-Dumbo & His Mommy - YouTube

I once left the room watching this with other people because I knew I would cry if I stayed.

Mickey Mantle asked Roy Clark to play that song at his funeral. Roy did it, but he was so old by then, you could tell it was really hard. His fingers didn't move as quickly as they did Yesterday, when he was young.
