30 days sober today!

It hasn't been easy, but I am happy. The first week was difficult not cracking that wine bottle open at the end of a work day. I would tell myself only one, but more times then not it would be the bottle and sometimes more. As the holidays approach I will stick with my resolve because I feel good. Happy I'm not hung over, anxiety filled and thinking of the things I said and did, but often did not remember. Is everyday euphoric? No life with it's up and downs, but I'm present in my body and mind. As the holidays approach I know there may be temptations, but it's just not worth it! I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired. So here's to hot chocolate, tea and real conversations not drunken ramblings. Here's to the end of the year and feeling proud of myself.

Congrats on 30 days! Definitely something to be proud of yourself for. The first 30 days can be tough with ups and downs but you've worked through it. Here's to 30 more!
