Hello from a very shy person
Hello all
I would like to thank alot of you for all your posts, as the title suggests, i have only been reading and thank you so much for your honesty. I am sober today, day 245, 8hrs, 26min and for some reason woke up and decided to write my first post. I can relate to so many of the stories both in the Alcohol and Drug forums. I dont want to go back there, so thank you all.
Im still in recovery and will never be normal I know this. Im allergic to alcohol, I am a recovering alcoholic - I accept this to myself. Unfortunately I have tendency to replace it with other substances which are not good and could ruin my life.
BUT, today I have decided to say "hello, I am 'pleb' and today I WANT to live, just for today, its a good day and make the best out of it.
My first post and hopefully not the last.

245 days off Alcohol is a huge accomplishment, well done! .
Welcome to SR! I was shy at first too. Once I broke the ice, posting became the food for my hungry recovery. Now I'm addicted to seek answers for myself and trying to help others on my journey.

I will try post more definitely, as my recovery comes slowly so does my mind become more clear. I have read so, so much on here and I can - for some posts think it was myself writing them.
I think its better to speak out rather than suffer in silence as I have done for too long.
Thank you for the welcome.

it's a great gift Plebboy as God restores our clarity
and all we have to do is stay sober today
as they say in AA
“Don't leave before the miracle happens.”
