33 Days Clean & Sober!
33 Days Clean & Sober!
I wasn't able to access the internet when I reached 30 days so here I am no 33 days drugs and alcohol free! And it's not always easy but it's always getting better..
I've been experiencing anxiety and panic attacks frequently though, but instead of running to the drugs to self medicate I either exercise, meditate/deep breathe, or if all else fails I take two Benadryls to calm the panic and that usually does the trick.. It feels so great knowing I don't have to use anymore - it's a very freeing experience.
Like today my Dad went into the this pizzeria to get food and I stayed outside and smoked a cigarette and I noticed that there was a dollar general right next door and I could easily walk in, steal some pills or cough syrup, walk out and nobody would even know.. and that's when I realized that my desire to stay clean is stronger than my desire to get high.. oh thank you god.
And even though I have a little over a month clean, I've decided that I'm going to enter a 6-month residental drug treatment program, and after that go to a half-way house.. I usually don't like to plan ahead that far but I feel this is my best bet.
Thanks to all who've supported me on here! You guys were right, it DOES get better
