This is ironic...

Stumbling and struggling, and today my boss calls me to his office.
And gives me a huge raise because of work well done. And I have been hangover a couple of days a week, sometimes stayed at home because of it. I am fighting to get sober, but keep failing. If I can get sober, imagine how well work would go then...

Good for you!

However....well, you know...fix that other thing. Make sure you get to keep that money.

Congrats on the raise. You can get sober, one day at a time. If you find yourself struggling, perhaps some support would help? Maybe try an A.A. meeting? You may find the strength you need.

Take it as a motivator. If you get a raise (good for you!) while being hungover, imagine what you can make sober!

Use this raise as a sign of how well you can do in your work life. If you work on your recovery, you should be able to achieve your financial goals.

If you can accomplish what you have while being hung over, just IMAGINE what you will accomplish with a clear mind and a healthy body. Good luck!

This is true for everyone else getting sober as well. I'm looking forwards to being able to function optimally again. There are so many things I'd like to do. And I'm sure this is true for everyone.

Keep it up, being sober sure does open up some doors for us!

I had the opposite day today. I realized I have only been putting up with my job because I didn't care as long as I could go home and drink.

things, they are a changin'
