Proud of myself
Can't believe I reached a year yesterday. It's seems mad looking back! It hasn't been easy by any means. I started with a medicated detox at home but have been pretty much on my own since apart from checking in on here.
Gotta say it feels pretty amazing. The peace of mind I have now is incredible no feelings of guilt, shame or embarrassment. My relationships with friends and family have improved greatly. Not that they were bad before but they are even better now and to top it I've lost around 21lb so looking pretty good too.
Day 1 off quitting the cigarettes now!
Just want to say thanks SR and to everyone trying good luck and stick with it's really worth it. : )

Well now that's just cool right there! Congratulations and I wish you many more years of success! If the AV ever starts playing with your thoughts again, let us know and you will have an army by your side

Well done, Alex, congratulations to you on your fantastic achievement. And thanks for passing on your encouraging message. If you can quit drinking as you have done, what limits are there for you? Onward!
