Jasmine / Green Tea (Kills cravings in 7 seconds)

There are two teas I would like to recommend.

The first is called Jasmine Tea and the second is a standard Chinese Green Tea.

They are the demon killers. When you need a drink the most, these bad boys of the tea world can suppress even the intense of cravings.

Simply pop a couple of bags (I like mine very very strong), in a cup with hot water and wait 5 minutes.

You will feel euphoric as well as extremely relaxed. Far more chilled out and happy than drinking.

In fact I am drinking my cup of Jasmine Tea now, before heading to bed.

Wow! I never realise that. I am more of a coffee drinker, decaffeinated though.

Celestial seasonings make great herbal teas also. Tension tamer: ginger, chamomile, Eleuthero a Chinese herb

Sleepy time: Egyptian chamomile, spearmint, lemongrass

I'm at 5 days and have not experienced withdrawal. I took 3x doubles of the above, plus 3 valerian pills before bed time. 0 nightmares, 0 nothing.

Yay a thread about tea

I prefer japanese green tea over chinese... and white tea (similar to green) is very nice too!
I like mine strong too, I use 2 bags and leave them in.

I'm not sure if it kills cravings in 7 seconds, that's a pretty bold statement lol
But when i stick to my drink regime (several different teas, including my own infusion for sleep and several pints of water) it definitely helps to keep cravings at bay.

I smell a tea club in the making! LOL!
I love this thread.

A quick fact for the heck of it: Chinese have a very low heart decease rate. Many of them smoke. The study I had read a while back attributes this to their consumption of green tea, many a day. The anti oxidants in green tea are really high.

Count me in for the tea club. My favorite is Jasmine Green tea. I buy the organic Twinings brand and have a hot pot every morning. Tea pot, that is.

We've been going through tea like mad at my house. This is an excellent thread Autan and I thank you for your suggestions. I am going to get some of both tomorrow. Jasmine smells soooooooo good.

I second the Tension Tamer, it's wonderful for just chilling out.

Drinking lots of water really helps. Herbal tea at bedtime- nothing better.

I third the tea club idea!!!!!

I've recently turned to tea, too. Currently I"m drinking Green and Chamomile because that's all I have. But I can't wait to "experiment" with more types lol.

Trader Joes Polar Bear decaf green tea. $1.99/box of 20 tea bags !! That's less that a single cup at Starbucks.

It's is so scrumptious. Minty and vanilla. Plus green tea and decaf ? And there's milk thistle in there too which is good for the old deader. I mean liver.

I bought 25 boxes today. No, that's not a typo.

I clearly have issues with limits...

Alpha, that stuff sounds great and that price cannot be beat. Nothing wrong with loading up!

BoozeFree, Teavana can be spendy but they have some absolutely delicious teas that work both hot and cold. I haven't been there in so long. Do you have a recommendation for any flavors?
