And the Al-Anon meeting was canceled, but NOT the AA meeting. WTF? Whyyyy?

Because alcoholics need help when it snows, too.

Same thing here.

All fine by me.

But towards your question -- *we* Alanon are there to make things better.

AA folks are there to survive.

Follow the depth(s) of difference?

I went to the (open) AA meeting since I was already there... I was the only female there, until another girl came in late. The gender ratio between Al-Anon and AA is just incredible.

tell me about it.

But was it kind of nice to do some learning from the other side of the wall?

side note -- the long-term AA women usually sponsor a "Women's Meeting" at many groups. Saves them from dealing the standard still-drunk AA guy hitting on them.

Some Alanon groups have Men's Meetings, as well. I am still too big a p...y to attend one of those.

Most likely the moderator of one group could make it, the other could not.

I am completely hooked on my Friday evening AlAnon meeting. Last Friday I went to my work's Christmas dinner on the Friday and it was a lovely evening but several times I thought about what I was missing. I did go to a different meeting on the Tuesday and it was good but not good like "mine". I think if I arrived there on a Friday and it was cancelled I would sit in the car and cry !

Because driving drunk in the snow is super dangerous. Being Codie in the snow? Not so much
