Can it be true????? Yes, it really was!!!! At the end of the day while saying my prayers I realized I had not thought about drinking at all throughout the day. What a blessing!!!

To newcomers, give it time, sometimes LOTS of time, but it can happen.

Day 4 for me, I'm not thinking about drinking, it's more of what the hell do I do with myself when I finish work that's the dilemma. I've been doing this for 20 years, it's such a habit. Kind of like robotic. But THIS robot is getting reprogrammed this time around.

New operating system Version 5.0. I'm such a computer geek! LOL!

Great job anchorbird, I love those moments. I drive by a liquor store everyday on my way to work and I love when I notice NOT noticing it...I'll get to work or get home and think "wow, I drove right by and didn't even notice the liquor store" (rather than that neon sign calling my name)! That feeling is happening more and more these days, you're right it takes time, but it can happen.

yes I am finding the same thing and as the fog clears I wonder what the hell I was thinking keeping myself in that small dark world, things seem a lot brighter
