Another step in the right direction

I moved my cell phone onto my own plan (it had been on my AH's plan). Phew! Another item checked off my "to do" list.

AH went very, very far away for work, and the job he was expecting there fell through. Things are very uncertain for him, he is very depressed about it, and I am doing my best to be compassionate, yet detached. I feel like I'm doing pretty well at it. I have avoided taking on his feelings as my own, and I have not felt terribly overwhelmed by the situation.

My next step is to schedule another one-on-one with our pastor, and to get all of my ducks in a row for Christmas. Trying not to think too far ahead, keep the focus on myself and the kids.

Great job focusing on yourself and your needs. Take things one day at a time. Your AH's issues are his and only his to solve. You have to continue to do what is best for you.
