"Self Indulgence" poem
Self Indulgence
Lay needle to cotton as the spoon is removed from the flame
Drawing up the puddle while feeling the shame
Tearing a hole in his flesh, the contents then drained
This is the flood that drowns out all the pain

Here is another poem by my brother. It is short & to the point but some people might find it disturbing. I think it shows self-awareness but also the desire to still use. This scares me because my brother gets out of prison in 69 days. If only there was something I could do.
