Blessed Sleep

I slept 7 hours last night and it felt great. I had almost forgotten what it was like to really sleep not pass out for four hours, wake up exhausted, and not be able to go back to sleep. Lord in heaven above I love being able to sleep! I'm off work for a week and I plan to take sleep to a new level. Sounds boring but after 30 years of being a zombie it's pretty exciting for me.

I am in the same boat. Isn't it amazing??? I never thought I would see the day I get to sleep without alcohol or pills and actually sleep soundly and wake up refreshed. Who knew?!?

I'm never going back to drinking. Ever.

Sleep is the greatest gift known to mankind in my opinion! I wake up in the morning and can't wait to do it again!

Hahaha I feel the same way. I often wonder why I adore sleep so much.

I was convinced for years that I could NOT sleep without alcohol.

Now that I know what REAL sleep is like, I can't believe how much sleep that bottle actually deprived me from getting.

Something I like to remind myself of as I indulge in a few extra hours of sleep is that restful sleep is actually incredibly good for your health. It's the time when your body repairs itself the most on the cellular level and your mind consolidates your thoughts and decides which ones should be stored in your long-term memory, among many more benefits!

In addition to great sleep, I was astounded by just how exhausted I had been and for how long. How did I ever live that way?
