Keep pushing ahead, its worth the effort

Let me start by saying I have 0 days clean, but at one time I had 1.5 years. I have been thinking lately about all of the clean, happy, days I spent with my family. I remember saying to my wife" man, I am so glad I dont drink anymore. I couldnt be happier."
Over the past 6 months that I went back to it, those thoughts have not even come close to me. When I first got clean, I thought there was no way to live without some sort of drug. Now I cant think why anyone would want to live like this. I think I am lucky knowing what its like on the other side, I just need to get back there. Hope this helps someone out there, know that its hard work but our lives depend on it. Living in bottle is not living anyway.

Dun 1.5 years is a fantastic achievement!! . . . your right, it's hard work, but slips here and there are not to get disheartened over, we've all been there, the battles may be lost on occasion but the war is far from un-winnable!!

Fantastic post! I always like to hear about those who know that the grass is definitely greener on the sober side, even though it takes a lot of work. Good luck!

Thanks, just knowing that SR is there when I need it helps. I know what I have to do, no excuses.
