new to all this

I am a lesbian and me and my gf has stopped drinking! She has a bad problem and had a black out! So she wants to stop. I am going to support her decision and stop as well. I live in cola sc and we would like to attend meetings that are lesbians or gay friendly. Can anyone help us?

in my experience, you won't truly be able to quit unless you want to do it for your self.

Here is a link to a forum for Gays/Lesbians on SR. I don't know about meetings in your area but you can google it. I think it's fantastic that you want to quit in support of your gf. My husband quit to show support to me, and I can't imagine going through getting sober while he would have continued to drink. Good for you, and good for her recognizing that a blackout is a sign to stop.

Welcome!

You can check aa.org to find meetings in your area and specifically gay/lesbian meetings.
