One week down!
One week down!
So it has been one week since I have had a drink! I don't miss it at all. That is the strange thing for me, I can go days without thinking of it, then WHAMMO! The craving is present and very strong.
One disturbing thing that I just realized after reading someone else's post - I had the sweats for a few days after quitting. I never had that before! I guess it is true that each time you relapse bottom gets lower....
Anyway, I am going to my first AA meeting on Friday. (I work from home and take care of my 5 month old baby and my autistic three year old, so I really have to pick my moments! Every day is not a possibility for now.) I have not done AA for years, but I really think I need to get to know some local sober people that I can do things with. All of my local friends are either social drinkers... or drunks like how I was. I am nervous about it though.

Congratulations on 1 week! I can TOTALLY relate about how the cravings just sneak up on you. I have had no desire to drink since my relapse and then all of a sudden today they are back.
Here's to another day sober!
