Anyone on higher dose Naltrexone? I was on 50 but I can drink through that. My psychiatrist upped me to 100MG. Has anyone had success with this?

I have no experience with naltrexone sorry.

I do believe there has to be certain element of internal motivation for any treatment to succeed tho.

If you have the desire to stay sober and you're prepared to back that up with your actions you're well on the way, no matter treatment you use

I was on 50 mg of Naltrexone and it didn't matter. I also tried Vivitrol with no luck. Dee has it right I think. They are definitely not a cure all. They both helped but if you're not ready to quit you will blow through any roadblock you think you put up. I know I did. There is no easy way out, if there was we wouldn't be here.

I took 50mg for some time and got terribly depressed. My doc said it is a possibly side effect so I stopped taking it.
