Now on night 3
So I have made it past the first days. Those are always hard. Now its night three and I've made it home with no bottles in tow. I'm still trying hard to cope with staying sober longer than the first week.
I have a therapy session tomorrow that hopefully will give me some insight as to what I can do.
As far as symptoms, I'm very tired, but that's about it. Its probably from Librium. I guess tonight I'll finish watching star wars and hang out with my three month old and my wife. Maybe work on my side project sixsecondstar.com. Either way, I need to keep the mind busy.
Tomorrow is weight day at the gym. I hope the booze has rid my system somewhat.

Good work Justin. And good choice of film! Keep up the good work. Weights at the gym were the biggest help for me. By the time I finished a work out I was too tired to even think about going to the shop. You will love how much more you can lift without alcohol in the system!!

Yeah I'm a nerd. (software engineer in health care) its funny you bring up weight stuff. I tried doing chest like a month ago and could only do two exercises before muscles were so exhausted.

Ha yeah I could. But she said tonight she wants me to grill burgers.
Did you guys crave sweets when you first quit? I have been the last two days. Normally I'm a savory/salty guy but not this week

I never had a sweet tooth until I quit. It lasted about 3-4 weeks and during that time I couldn't get enough ice cream, candy and cookies. It tapered off after the first month. Just give in to it for now as it's helpful in early recovery.
