first day on the job and nothing is working.

I'm at the first day of my new job. Everything was going okay at first. I'm the web designer and fixing up the template that they bought for WordPress. Try to setup a local testing site on my computer to fix it and the template will not load. Just Dont know why but I'm freakingnout trying everything but it will not work.

Panicing now!!!!!

Just take a step back and breathe. It's probably just a simple step you missed somewhere.

Try disabling your Anti-Virus or Local Firewall. They might be blocking the IP ports your Website needs.

You can also try

netstat -a-n
See what posts are in listening mode.

Sorry this is totally unrelated to SR. I just feel for you, I'm also in IT and it can be stressful. Take a quick walk arround the office, you might be to caught up in the problem to think clearly.
