I made it :-)

To all my friends here who know how I've been struggling re my brothers 50th birthday .
I just want you to know i decided not to go .
Then i got a message at work telling me it had turned into THEIR WEDDING !

I was on it ! Like a fly to ****.

It was a mad panic trying to leave work to get there . Now i KNOW why he was so persistent in badgering me to go . I was upset he didn't understand .
But he knew he was getting married and wanted me there.

I got there but I'd missed the ceremony but someone taped it . I ate at work , so missed the lunch ...but mmmmm the dessert was to die for

It was a beautiful day , even tho i went in my work clothes and had not a scrap of makeup or brushed my hair

It was all about them and no one even noticed , they were just glad i made it.

All my children were there and my granddaughter .

I wasn't even tempted to drink and just soaked up the love and happiness .

I MADE IT ;-)

My senses were stirred , i felt so much love , yes , I'm truly happy .

I don't need alcohol to love my life.

Snoozy I'm so glad you got there - and enjoyed yourself with no temptations! It sounds like a wonderful day. (I'm sure you looked beautiful in spite of not being prepared.) Congrats to your bro and his new bride!

Good on ya! Your working back to handling obligations sober and finding out YOU are able to sail on through easily sober is wonderful to be a part of vicariously. Snoozy, I have a big smile on my face now too. Thanks for the energy shot!
