My son got a job!
Well my son got a job delivering lunch and dinner trays to the segregation unit. The guards do not like to do it because it is so dangerous. However, he is going back to the county jail for his new cases. His parole agent immediately returned him to prison when he was arrested as he violated parole. It seems like he enjoyed getting out of his cell to work so, hoping, he will return to the job when his new cases are over. Thank goodness, his attempt murder charge was downgraded to fleeing and eluding law enforcement. Not sure why he didn't get a DWI though. I attend the Families Anonymous meeting once a week and find it much better than Alanon.

He will have quite a long time to think about his life. The fact that he was on parole for less than 3 months when he was re-arrested is not going to look. He told me some of the older convicts were looking down on him for working inside. Hopefully, he realizes that he doesn't have to be a career criminal and convict for the rest of his life.
