Third night

havent really slept much this week, although I do sleep eventually. I am hoping tonight is better. I only post this as sort of a journal.

Work today was better than has been. Same job but I wasn't as moody. Emotions were more in check and fleeting than before.

I had to sorta lie to myself towards the end of the day today. I told my drunk brain I would get some beer after I ate, went to the gym and then to the bookstore next door. Just do these things, and then I will let you have some alcohol.

By the time I got home I was so tired I totally forgot about drinking. I read for a few hours tonight and generally have just been very low energy an sorta sad.

It is bedtime now, I probably will still not sleep well tonight, but I made it.

Tomorrow is a new day, and that scares me

You're doing great, Mikie. It's normal to feel a little sad. Tomorrow you'll wake up feeling fresh and can keep moving forward one day at a time. Your gym, bookstore, reading plan sounds good.

Your emotions are all over the map when you first quit. It's normal, just your body and mind trying to figure out what's going on.

Hang in there! Not sleeping is really hard but I do think things will get better. I have insomnia with or without alcohol and it sucks but atleast it won't kill you like alcohol can!
