Thank You
Thank You
I just wanted to thank everyone for all the supportive posts that I've had read over the past few days, the past 9 months or so I've really cut back a lot on my drinking, changed my diet, started exercising, I even lost over 30 lbs. Last weekend I had a pretty bad binge where I drank a lot of beer with not a lot of food in my stomach which resulted in a very bad hangover. I already been diagnosed with anxiety before I even started drinking, so my hangovers just get that much worse because of that. Just realizing now that some people just arent meant to drink because they can't handle the effects and I'm one of those people, this is my 3rd day sober and I couldn't be more excited that I found this website and have some support from people who have been through what I have. Your testimonies and advice to others related to what I was going through and was very helpful as I recovered from the hangover and I feel much better now. Now I'm looking forward to continuing to cleanse and heal my body because this isn't fair to myself, or my loved ones, and I'm also excited to use my stories to help others!

Glad you are feeling better. A good thing about having such a bad hangover is that you can use it in the future as a defence against your addictive voice. When it says you are ok ,why don't you just have a little drink , I want you to remember how bad you felt. That said, well done on starting your journey and welcome.
Yes exactly Toffee1! That's my concern about my brother, he drinks a lot of whiskey and says that he never gets hangovers, it's bizarre how some people do and some don't, I'm going to take it as a blessing though that my body is letting me know what I'm doing to it!
