Try Smart Recovery
When U said "medically based" that may mean the SMART program, set up as a non-spiritual alternative to AA. It was what finally worked for me. They should have meetings in larger communities... It helped me to understand what was happening in my brain during the recovery process, so that I could I.D. and and move past the often scary stages of healing. Also, you could ask for counselling and group therapy approaches (or rehab?) that are based on biophysical approaches.
