Hi there - I'm in Fife and will probably go to AA in South Queensferry tonight. Please, please go to AA in Inverness - know that we will be with you in spirit, if not in person. I would go with you if I was up north.

As a Yankee, may I just say how cool it is that there are so many Brits, and Australians, and other nationalities that populate this website? If nothing else, it has helped me learn what it means to throw a wobbler, be gobsmacked or knackered, or to be narked. I love it.

Will need to get you fluent in Glaswegian Firstymer. It's a very specific dialect of English

I live near London and have my own meeting at home - talking to myself and making journals Yes, I am a bit mad... but it works. Good luck at your meetings. Some groups are better than others. I used to attend some great ones in Hertfordshire.

I got drunk with a bunch of Scot construction workers in 1966, and they were yelling f the queen. It was a hell of a fight that ensued and I escaped but don't know how. Now I am an old man in recovery for 27 years at age 82 welcoming a bonnie lass.
