Rough night
Having a rough night. Everything is closed, so I can't drink. I thought about it though. Things are really coming to a head in my life, dealing with some real issues. If I am going to tackle them successfully, it is gonna be a rough road. And I probably need to stay sober.

Staying sober is a plus when it comes to dealing with issues.
My daughter called last night. She was upset and crying. It was the 5th anniversary of her fathers death. He drank himself to death in no uncertain terms.
She was feeling guilty for not spending more time with him. She was beating her self up over it. She went on and on about how she always thought there would be more time. As hard as it was to hear her so upset and crying I was so grateful to be sober and to be there for her. To talk her and love her through it.
The rewards we get for remaining sober are never what we expect them to be.
