Gonna try 30 days

Since I was probably 16, I've never been able to make it
More than 13 days sober. And that was only once that I
Can remember... Probably about 6/7 years ago.. In the past year I've went 5 and that was only once because of taking antibiotics..
I really wanna see what it feels like to do 30 days. It feels crazy to even
Think about, but I'm actually gonna try it. My best friend was killed in a car
Accident almost 4 months ago... I was getting pretty tore up.. Then I broke
My damn foot (while walking the dog drunk) and I'm just thinking,
Maybe these are some signs (or something, idk how
To describe) I should stop. I wanted to after my friend died but I couldn't.
I was only sober 1 day. My anxiety is horrible.. And this broken foot has put me out of work for a month and on my ass with plenty of time to think about my life. I know sometimes people dedicate their sobriety to someone.. I wanna dedicate my 30 days to my best friend who passed. Her name was Cynthia.. Well, here goes.. Day 1.

I am sorry for your loss, Marley. Welcome to SR! I am on Day 39. It has been hard but not as hard as I imagined it would be.

Hi Marley! I too am attempting 30 days at this. The most I've gone while actively trying (I'd say the past... 2 years?) is probably right around ten days. I, too, really want to feel what it's like to get to 30 days. I am on day 6 today. Please let me know if you need or desire any support!!

Let us know how it goes. Are you allowed to bring in your own liquids? Maybe something fizzy or carbonated could help any desire? I haven't "gone out" like that sober yet... I hope it goes well!!

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. By thirty days sober you should be feeling much better. Maybe even go longer than thirty days to see what it's like. The longer you're sober, the better it gets.

Well, I went to a concert last time. Almost sure it's the first time I've been sober at a concert since I was probably 16... It was amazing! We had an awesome spot and my girlfriend and I didn't drink a drop. And we were right next to the bar. There were a few times I looked over and craved something, but I had my mind set not drinking... I can't believe how much fun I had without being drunk. And I remember everything! Lol. I go to a lot of concerts... This was 4th time seeing this artist and it was the best ever. It was my girlfriends 1st time seeing her... I said we were ferry much on the same level because this was the only would I could remember day 2, here we go!

Hope you soon get to see the benefits of sobriety. I have had too many restarts to think I have it totally beaten yet. However I am defo seeing what a great life the sober one is and am doing everything I can to keep it. Best of luck

Sorry, no, I haven't! I just guessed it was reggae by your name and your 'One Love' signature! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Sobriety really does rock sometimes
