How many days are you sober?

Hi all

Today is day 645 or 21 months. Huge achievement!

I know we all are very different and cope with our additions differently. First 12 months was all about reminding myself that I can't drink! Ive been to many parties and all of them I secretly envied normal drinkers.
Slightest change in my mood triggered an urge to want a drink.

Now 21 months later I feel a lot stronger and drink still exists somewhere in my mind. Conclusion: first 12 months is hard but very worth it, next 12 months is a lot easier. I wonder how does it feel to reach 3 years sober.

Commendable, you should be very proud of yourself. I imagine it takes a lot of willpower to achieve what you have done and I'm sure it has changed your life for the better. It will continue to change your life for the better

Congrats, HealthyFood!

387 days here, or one year and about 3 weeks)

I agree - the first year isn't piece of cake but absolutely worth it!

Best wishes to all)

Congratulations to everyone who posts here. Everyday that an alcoholic doesn't drink and an addict doesn't use is a miracle.
The sobriety calendar tells me I have 2268 days, 8 hours and 21 minutes free from drugs and alcohol. But I know that all I really have is today, now, this moment. Nothing beyond this is promised and I have to be vigilant to maintain my sobriety.

Congratulations to all of us. I hadn't thought of it for years then got 12720 sober/dry days one day at a time of a lot of work at times but sure worth it.

BE WELL

I'm a little embarrassed to post my tally ... a stunning 14 days. Baby steps right?

Thank you for starting this thread and everyone who has posted. I'm really leaning on the stories I read here. Trusting that things will get better and easier is what keeps me on track. If I didn't have these stories of redemption, I would be back to drinking today.

I don't want to weird anyone out, but I consider all of you prophets. Those that have a vision of the future and point the way for others like me. Your stories mean more than you imagine.

Congratulations.

The last 4 years of my drinking I couldn't stop for a single day. I'd sometimes make it till 9PM, then say, "I'm fine, I can do this", pop open a beer, and wind up wasted again. When I got sober, 90 days was a crazy goal to shoot for, and I honestly didn't believe people who said they sober over 365 days. I thought they were "kinda" sober, but had a few here and there.

Just used the calculator on this page Sobriety Calculator | AA Grapevine .

Today I have 10,662 days sober.

Trust me when I tell you that that is a miracle.
