30 days today & life is better than GOOD!
I want to thank all the members on this site for sharing, caring & commenting. For being part of a community group which supports people at all stages of recovery and those who are still looking for a way out of addiction.
SR has been my ROCK. 30 days today and I feel amazing. It's not a pink cloud, it's a positive mind set I have adopted - to BELIEVE that I CAN and WILL be free from my addiction to alcohol.
Sometimes things just click and for some reason this time getting sober feels different for me, it feels like long term sobriety is more possible in my life than ever before. I am so grateful for this shift though I will do the work it takes each and every day to stay in this place of gratitude and self love, continuing to make good decisions for myself, no matter how small they seem at the time. It all adds up , one second, one minute, one day at a time! Happy girl!

Your quote above became true for me. That kind of faith has enormous powers.

Well done Shay I totally understand what you mean about it 'feeling different' this time - I'm on day 23 and previously I would be posting things like 'YAY I made it to 23' etc, but this time, it's more a quiet acceptance and relaxed feeling. Feels like I've finally got back to being 'me' without all the fuss and drama (if that makes sense)?
Great feeling isn't it
