Smile proof of the existance of God

well just thought I would say a few things to hopefully help those out there that are having trouble with the concept of God.

If you are standing in front of a building. You not only see the building but also know without any doubt that there must of been an architect who designed the building.....simple.

If you stand in front of a painting you know with absolute certainty that there was an artist who actual painted the painting.

Well, so taking this very simply, basic, LAW. Do we exist? of course we do....then following this very simple law.....there is a creator who made us.

Hope this helps.

God says ....ask and it will be given you...seek and you shall find....knock and it shall be opened unto you....(this is a promise)

God certainly exists and whats more He longs to have a personal relationship with you.....think of it....a personal relationship with GOD!!

God Loves You....!!

We can start out discussing whether it is night or morning.

I am pretty sure it is morning the sun came up for less than an hour ago.

Wow you serious. Sorry but you are on very dangerous ground here.

God is the Alpha & Omega. The beginning and the end.

You are talking about the creator of the universe. I am certain you simply do not understand the concept of God at all.

I sincerely hope you give what you have said some serious thought

Here is some background on this position. It's called "the argument from design". Here is a link for those interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teleological_argument

I think there are better 'proofs' ......but I don't wish to make Dee's job any harder, so I won't mention them.

Bushy It's great that you have a strong belief in God. Did this belief help in your recovery ?

So following this simple law, the concept of God had a creator in order for it to exist.

The big bang created the universe. Dust deposits from suns/stars created planets (ie.Earth). Our environment created and sustained life. Evolution created man. Man created the concept of God.

There is an argument that your theory disproves the existence of God.

I hope you are seeking recovery and didn't join the forum just to post this. There are plenty of religious forums on the net.

The whole concept of religion is blind faith. There is no empirical proof of the existence or none existence of a superior being.

We are free to either believe in a god or not. If we do it can give comfort and support when we are at our lowest.
I personally believe that everything contains energy, and we can draw on that energy positively and awesome things can happen. If some people call that energy god and draw on it by prayer, who am I do denigrate their belief?

LOL @ that... You seem well versed in verbal situtations...

Who does God love the most? It would be nice if there was more logic and even more "evidence" of the existence of God.

If God created nature, then nature is full of signs of God.
Therefore nature must follow a pattern or have correlation to that what is God.
Now we would need some creative thinking to find out those pieces of evidence... I wonder if there will be such replies here, or are people "going by the book", I mean the bible... Interesting.

my recovery would not have been possible without a belief in God. Even the BigBook says that all one needs to make a start is a willingness to believe. Once we have come to believe the BigBook instructs the alcoholic to abandon yourself unto God.
I rebelled against God countless times for many years, my dis-obedience led to MUCH pain and suffering. It led to many additions other than just alcoholism. I believe that being sober is so much more than simply not drinking. I have had the spiritual awakening the BigBook talks about being necessary for recovery from alcoholism. That involved coming into the very presence of almighty God. When this happens to someone they become a new creation. ...It literally changes them from the inside out.
I now have a responsibility to speak the truth in the hope that it will lead others to having that very same experience and obtain a personal relationship with God.
Through repentance, a honest desire to serve God, and obedience, God has delivered me from the obsession of alcoholism, cigarette smoking, marijuana addiction, porn addition, and relationship dependency issues.
If you or anyone else wishes to talk to me more on this topic I am happy to answer any questions and share my experience, strength and hope.

I've always rebelled against mainstream things. One such is the beliefs of others and especially religion. To me, it has been nothing but a big plus. I have no fear of God and dear me, especially I am certain that there can be no God asking something from me or trying to direct my life. I say no to that thank you.

How about we all just agree to differ? Does it really matter how/what motivated us to get sober?

Politics and religions are minefields on forums.

Peace.
