Hello out there!

This is day 1 for me. I have had many "day 1's" before, but this is really the first time I'm announcing it. This seems like a good place to be honest.

My drinking history. Parties, parties, parties. Work hard, play hard. This mindset has led me to blackout after blackout. I don't drink everyday, but but blackout 80% of the time I drink. Hurting myself, other people, and my spirit has really been weighing heavily on my mind.

Cutting alcohol out of my life at this point seems necessary, I'm 23 and want to do this sooner rather than later! No more excuses such as "this is just a phase." Because really, it isn't.

I'm excited to start reading all of your stories. Have a good night everyone.

to SR! This is a very supportive place if you want to stop drinking. You've made a smart decision to quit now when you're young. You won't have as many regrets when you're older if you quit now.
