A recommittment to my soberrecovery

I have been a habitual relapser who is trying to follow the Big Book as closely as possible. I am working with a sponsor in my home group and I would like to discuss and study the precise and simple instructions contained in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.
I suffer from the blindness that comes before my phenomenon of craving, and I need to understand the instruction in the book so I can be free of my addict.

Are you ready to stay stopped?
Have you fully conceded to your innermost being that you are alcoholic and can't drink?
Are you willing to go to any lengths to stay stopped?

Answer these to yourself.....

There IS a way out! I wish you well on your sober journey!

I, too, suffer from that blindness, or blank spots, that precede relapses. Although I was in AA for years, and managed to put some years together...I inevitably relapsed (3 times)...my last being for the last 3 years. I am now on day 16...not doing AA this time, but it works for many....hang in there...

Yes I am ready to stay "stopped" I am on this post in order to do so. I keep trying to sabotage my good intentions by creating a false feeling of uselessness and apathy. I turn away from these thoughts by praying.

I am 62 yrs old and my life has been shaped by my addict and my bipolar. I am still in the game because I believe my "higher power" will save me when I address the true demon inside me.
