Hi all! I have to go to Las Vegas the first week of November for four days for my work. This will be my first outing sober and it's obviously not the best location. I have decided to take my grandmother with me since she loves to play the slots and we will be able to catch up when I'm not at the conference. Knowing she is there will also give me another level of accountability to avoid any temptation since I'm very good at not drinking around family. I'm excited to spend time with her but uncomfortable about being in Vegas this early on in recovery. I'm committed to staying sober and any additional advice is welcome

I don't know if you are using AA as part of your recovery, but there are a ton of meetings in Vegas.
