Craving today

Had a really rough day going into town today. I broke my ankle on June 14th and although I am walking, have yet to walk as much as I did today....Wow it hurts! That, along with having to get the car fixed, then go the the A/C guy (different mechanics for different things), then hunting down parts for things with my husband....UGH! I definitely got hungry, angry and tired (not lonely, though I did acknowledge those feelings, but honestly, by the time we got home, all I WANTED was a glass of wine and a cigarette.....watching the sunset at our home on the beach. Soooooo....hard. I started making dinner, though, and my mind went elsewhere...YAY! No drink today....no drink for me ever again. Day 10...whew!

Rootin for ya up here in Oregon. I know exactly how you feel. After a while those intense cravings will be history. Staying busy was the key for me too. I did all sorts of things in the beginning to keep distracted. Whatever it takes to stay sober and cigg free, do it.

Every time you successfully resist a craving it gets easier and you get stronger. Way to go.

Congratulations on Day 10!

Life's problems will continue to happen, but they get easier to deal with when your mind is no longer obsessed with drinking or being hungover.

Good job trudging! I'm sitting here in the midwest US playing sounds of ocean waves because I miss the sea so much and cannot get there for a long time.

Could you kindly do me a favor and take a walk barefoot in the sand and wish yourself and the sea my best? I can almost feel the sand between my / your toes thinking of it!
