Getting settled

Drove 10 hours round trip to get the cats left at my old place. Gave them meds to sedate them. Still the little one stink bombed my new car. So.... I pull over and clean the mess only to have the smell stay with us for the next few hours. Then I get home to find the bigger cat also did the deed. I think he stayed quiet to pin it on the little one. SMELLY CAT!

Stress with no drinking reaction or desire. The next step in recovery.

The location I chose to live is perfect. Nothing I can walk to. I used to be able to go across the street and have no memory of getting home.

Also I bought a new car last December in response to the domestic. I traded that in so I would have no reminders or emotional responses. I now have a wonderful luxury car that reminds me of being sober... Not bad stuff.

Feeling many emotions as I continue to start new routines. And dam happy to leave others far behind.

So time to relax after a long day.... Sober!

Thanks for being here for me. One day at a time.

Ken

Stay cool ,

Something ALWAYS happens eventually to ones new car ... at least you've got it over with sooner rather than later and it was two cats you love as opposed to some random stranger

Bestwishes, m

Hope it's all you expected and more, well apart from the smell.

there is a song called "smelly cat"...
poor things...maybe it was the meds?
when you can get to a pet store, buy some "Nature's Miracle"....or order online...it's good to keep a bottle for accidents.
glad you are ok.

Ken - I'm so glad you have this new beginning & are obviously enjoying it. I'm sure the kitties are sorry they befouled Dad's car.
