Tomorrow will be 90 days

Perhaps there is some truth to the stories of alcohol cravings being history after close to 3 months. Even that ole AV seems to have gone into hibernation.

I honestly think that if I were to relapse it would be the result of a bad decision on my part. This is not the first time I've been 3 months sober. I know how that AV can lead one to think they have everything under control now. So I'm very vigilant not take things for granted.

I'm very thankful to have found SR forums. And the people that take the time to tell their stories, give encouragement and just be here when things get rough.

When I first joined this site it was quite disturbing to see that there was so many struggling like me. But,the truth is although we are struggling we are on the right path to a more fruitful and better life.
The struggle is definitely worth the prize.
Ramble over...

Way to go Bob!. I just hit sixty days and can't wait for ninety because I still feel lots of ups and downs and lack focus. But like you, I'm not going to drink over it and I'm glad to hear it gets better (hoping). Keep up the good work!

Congrats!90 days is an important milestone. I understand that one year is too. I agree with you completely. I don't have cravings, but fear the "I have everything under control" monster.

Wonderful job on your 90 days! We know how hard you worked for it. I felt so much better after 90 - everything got easier & I was more relaxed. Still vigilant, but not as tense.

Way to go, Bob! For me, one of the biggest "ah-ha" moments in joining SR is the "wow, I'm not alone" part. Lots of ups and downs, but a lot of encouragement from personal stories that show us the ups will continue to outnumber the downs. I take great inspiration from that -- and from folks like you!
