i just watched this . terrifying. i know at least one person in their 20s who i fear will be on the downward path before too much longer.

I read the promo and get the idea. I got sober at 22 with malnutrition, liver and brain damage. The Doc said I would not reach 23 if I kept drinking - ha! I had to have a drink to get my head around that one.
Most of the physical effects have long since gone but I still have memory troubles and my thought processes don't seem to be as good as they should be. I don't know if anyone who takes this disease as far as I did, gets away without some kind of physical/mental penalty.
