Feeling Down

Well after getting drunk this weekend not only could I not sleep last night but have come into work feeling totally miserable. I cannot seem to shake this heavy feeling. I have little motivation and just want to shut myself away. Hoping that this is jsut the alcohol blues and that it will pass in a couple of days. Thanks to all those who sent kind words of encouragement yesterday. . . it really helped.

Hi Susan, I know the feeling. Yesterday was the first day I haven't had a drink for 17 years but I'm hoping with the help of SR and all the wonderful posts on here, I will beat this demon. Just one day at a time. Take care and I look forward to reading more posts from you.

It's okay, Susan. This too shall pass. The good thing is that you came right back to the forum with honesty.

Take care!

Hi Susan,

As others have said, those feelings are pretty normal. Keep in mind that you never have to go through this again.
