Today, I celebrated one year of sobriety.
A lot of my sobriety can by attributed the people of SR.
There were a number of things I did to achieve a year of sobriety; I didn’t drink and I kept this community close by at all times were the most important. Every day, morning and evening, and many times in between, I logged on and read the stories of your struggles and victories that you share each day.
You reminded me often what will happen if I pick up the first drink, and you’ve reminded me of so many of the benefits of why I can’t drink. And when I do get that urge to pick up, I hop on SR and you guys help me play the tape till the end; reminding me of the horrendous repercussions of the first drink.
