I am so sorry

Just got driven home in a cop car. You are the only ones I can tell. They were awesome as apparently I sprained my ankle and they took care of my pups.. Sorry I'm weeping but this is a huge low.I would never let anything happen to my dogs except today....help??

Hi there - you're home safely and that's the main thing huh? A good cry will do you the world of good and then hugs those dogs as you decide how to move forward from this.

What do you want to do now about your drinking? Are you ready to stop for good?
It does sound like things are getting worse and that sadly is the way it will continue to go.

Sending you hugs x

I'm not clear on why the police drove you home or looked after your dogs?

However, I do know that alcoholism is a progressive disease and I hope that you decide to stop drinking before it gets worse.

Good for you coming on here, rather than keep it to yourself. Thank goodness for the internet, we never had it in my day.

You are all so awesome and honestly the cops were too. I don't know why I feel like I'm not worthy. A beautiful person called on me. I'm okay with her and the 58 cops that showed up.

I live in a smaller town. They really were great and seemed worried that I had no support system here.

I can tell you it started with a trip to the dog park. Cant tell you where it went after that. I've been morning drinking for a week or so but the reactions are getting worse. After I tried to figure it out I realized I really didn't drink that much this am. Doesn't matter how much. I need to stop. It doesn't matter how much I try to figure out. Plus thank god they had an SUV and would bring my dogs home!!!

Carl can you help?????

Upforit, sorry you having such a tough go of it but glad you and your dogs are safe. I have two dogs and they are like a part of my heart. As for the cops, you will find most treat you well if you are respectful. Obviously even though you were hammered you were not belligerent. Many people forget cops are human and have experienced addiction in one way or another with their own family. What are you going to do from here? Give the pups a hug for me.

I am a fellow dog lover. It feels good to be sober and care for them as they deserve. It sounds like you're ready for a change. Since you don't have support in your little town, have you considered meetings or counseling, for some face to face time?
