58 Days

Hi, I'm new here. I am 58 days sober and feeling a little better each day. I get anxiety usually around evening time almost everyday along with some lightheadedness, not sure if that's normal or not. It's a hell of a thing knowing deep down you will never drink again. Sometimes scary, sometime relieving. The thing that keeps me going is I have hope for a better life.

Just thought I would say Hello because I'm new here, so...Hi

Hi UrbanFarmer, I'm at 57 days today and I also get anxiety most evenings for about an hour or so as well as occasional lightheadedness. I attribute the anxiety to still adapting to not having a drink to 'break up the day' or 'come down' between work and evening, although I think it's more psychological now than physical. I'm not sure where the lightheadedness comes in though. Welcome to SR

Welcome UrbanFarmer! That's a wonderful achievement - 58 days! I'm so glad you joined us.

Joining this group & sharing my feelings was very helpful. No one else in my life understood what it was like. Here, we get what you're going through & understand the hurdles you must get over. Be proud of yourself for kicking that stuff to the curb and reaching out for a sober life. You have a good attitude. It's great to be free.

Hi Farmer, congrats on 58 days. I am about 1 week behind you and I sometimes feel anxious in the evening when I would have been drinking prior to quiting.
