Thanx guys; it is intensive 4~6 hour sessions focusing on my underlying mental health as well as my alcohol issues.

Well I have no choice after how things have played out in my life. Oh as for the alcohol possibly being the cause; after an hour or so interview with the shrink she more or less said that I surely have issues with anxiety.

So glad you are finally seeing a specialist to cope with your anxiety and underlying issues.

If I might suggest - do your best when working with a shrink, you'll be in much better place after getting help.

anxiety for me is not living in the present moment along with self-centered fear....

alcoholism is self-centered self-loathing and alcohol was my solution.

I wish you well on your recovery!! Remember, AA makes an awesome after care program!

Thanx Myth, would have said that earlier but lost the net I have been "borrowing" .. Which I do feel quilt, but right now more interested in keeping my sanity..

Hang in there, AW. Just imagine how much stronger you'll be once you've faced and survived your fear. You'll feel like you've achieved something great because you will have!
