Happy to be sober

It is nearly 2am where I live and I was woken up by my son who is feeling sick. Am alone with my kids and so very pleased to be sober and able to help and comfort him properly. All the times I was drunk and only lucky the children didnīt get sick when I was alone with them. Horrified at my past behaviour.

Although I think it's healthiest to let go of calling your past "horrifying" I really loved the sentiment of this post. And I know what it feels like.

Congratulations, stay strong.

It does feel good to know you are responsible.

Good for you for being there for your child.
I'm horrorified at some of my past behavior, too. Scary, drunken behavior.

Keep at it, your kids will see you grow up sober.

I will soon have joint custody of my boys and I hope I can stay like you to help them if they need me, me being sober after 10pm is a rare thing for them to see.
