Almost a month on the wagon!
Some very positive things I've observed thus far on my journey:
1. I'm a better parent now. I can spend infinite amounts of time just happily rolling a ball back and forth with my infant daughter instead of zoning out watching tv and drinking.
2. Working out is fun again and I've lost 7 lbs!
3. When playing golf if I'm having a bad day i actually just laugh it off instead of drinking more faster, playing progressively worse until I stumble around throeing clubs like a baby.
4.this is weird and maybe only in my head but since I've been sober more people (strangers) will look me in the eye and smile or say hello. It's like they can sense it. Anyone else notice this?
Hoping and planning for more months like this!

I've always been a people-person, but now it feels that it's reached a much deeper level. Thinking about it now, it's incredible because I really believe that, after years and years of hating myself, I'm beginning to genuinely like me (my cheeks are burning just writing that!) and that is what others may be responding to.
God, I love sobriety!!
Thank you so much for posting this!
