This will be a good day
I woke up feeling very positive, unlike the way I felt during parts of the day yesterday. I am on day 18 today and feeling good. The only time I think about drinking is when I begin focusing on the troubles I am having in my life or am having a panic attack.
I will be meeting my 2 best friends that I have know since I was 12 years old in a few hours. They have both been very supportive of my sobriety in the past and would never drink around me even after I had been sober for numerous years. I have not told them that I relapsed yet, but I will tell them today.
Today I will focus on the positive thing in my life. Three of my kids are doing very well in college and the Marine is doing well too. They are great kids all who have learned to put work before pleasure and lead balanced lives. I also have a wonderful man in my life, as well as a close relationship with my mom and siblings who all live nearby and I'm sober.
Life really is good...
