This is the first sober Friday I have had in at least nine years!! I felt slighty edgy earlier in the evening, but I am now over the hump. Stay with it. I have no desire to drink right now. I am going to take a nice long shower and go to bed. Stay strong!!!!

Mirage, you can do it. I had an extreme edgy urge myself today, but it has passed. Yours will pass too. They always do, they're sneaky like that.

It's 8:45 on Friday night. I'm in my Jammie's.

Because I'll be up at dawn meditating and watching the sunrise before my run !!

Couldn't be more grateful or happier because of another sober day.

I've been feeling the same way for the last 3-5 hours. I don't want one beer or one shot. I want to get DRUNK. I know I cant though. I've played the tape over and over, but that urge to lose inhibition just sounds so good.

It doesn't always work for me, but sometimes I think how amazing it feels to wake up and not be hungover and to be grateful and it's enough to get me into bed without booze.

I know you you feel, Rec! The AV's are out tonight. Ive been mulling about this for the past hour. If I could get drunk one night a week, and that would satisfy me all week, would I take it? My alcoholic mind is telling me I would, right now. But I know that would never work.

Had to throw that out there. I know that's crappy thinking. I guess it's my AV.

Been dealing with my AV this weekend. I just keep looking at the mysterious bruise I don't know how it got there. Messed up. We don't need alcohol to enjoy things.

The one thing I have learned........our AV's aren't very original, I think they are all reading from the same retreaded script. My AV needs to get a life.

Sunday is going to be really hard for me to not drink. Football and beer went hand in hand with me so Sunday I might not be able to watch any of the games.
