Hi Solo,
A month ago, my AW agreed to have an interlock put on her minivan. I ended up being the one to take off work & have it installed due to a "miscommunication", my word vs. hers, but being an "active alcoholic" she wasn't really in a state to agree/disagree to anything. The next day, she left to stay with her parents, loaded up on alcohol and the van hasn't moved since. Less than a week after installation, I drove her to a 45 day treatment center. Glad I took a picture of the Fees, I can't recall a damned thing right now.
$75 Installation
$80 Monthly Basic
$99 Monthly w/ Camera (to see who is blowing)
$95 Vehicle transfer
$45 violation reset
$45 late fee
$45 unlock code
$60 early termination
$38 returned checks (who takes a check from an active alcoholic?)
Also to note, if you're doing this of your own accord, you may get a bit of a discount and they'll set the threshold to whatever you like, mine is at 0.02. I drank half a beer and it failed, so it works awesome. Took about 4 hours to install, should have taken less time, but the van is 8 years old and the installer hadn't done one on this model yet. Also, I'll be posting up my review of family week at the treatment center and my AW's status after 3 weeks in (yesterday). Things are looking up for our family, yay!
