Hi all, I'm on day 8 of sobriety from drinking and I have hardly any appetite. It may also be relevant that I was given low dose lorazepam to help with my severe anxiety on Sunday, and today was the first day I didn't take any. Did this lack of appetite happen to anyone else, and should I be concerned? How long can I expect this to last? Thank you!

I didn't have appetite for a day or two sometimes - 8 days is a bit long tho?

Welcome Helloworld (are you a programmer?). I wish I had that problem! When I first quit drinking I gobbled up everything in sight!

I would agree, though, if it persists you might want to check with a doctor.

Usually your appetite would go up when quitting drinking, simply because the amount of calories you take in via alcohol has gone down (dunno what your drink of choice was, but the calories in beer certainly gave me a tummy). I would check with your doctor.
