Try not to be envious of my morning...
I'm sure there are better and less painful ways to keep one's mind off drinking, but this is how I did it this morning. I had a pap, an endometrial biopsy, was prescribed hormone replacement, had a tetanus shot and flu shot and a mammogram. Wasn't thinking about drinking at all.
At least I am finding humor in this. I was beginning to wonder if I had forgotten how to smile.

snumble in and they may treat you there Mountainman
if they did all of those things to me in one morning
I would get drunk on the way home
I would be very upset with myself
wondering how I wandered into the women's clinic
Mountainman
Too mutch, it's never fun to go in for our yearly maintenance but it's a necessary evil. And like AO said, I think there were days when I was so hungover I might have traded to make the hangover go away.
Maybe.
You're doing awesome and so good to see your humor is still intact!

You have my sympathy but what a funny post! I'm glad you think it's funny too.
I've often wondered about the old hormone imbalance issue and if it has any link to the compulsion to drink. Then I remember I've been drinking since I was in my 20s. Anyway, congrats on getting all that "fun stuff" out of the way all on one day!

I have never had a problem with a flu shot before. This time however, my arm is swollen and the muscles hurt even into my shoulder and upper back. Anyone else ever experienced this?
